In the second quarter of 2023, the top five film and television apps in Lebanon exhibited varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how these apps fared on a unified platform, combining data from both iOS and Android, as provided by Sensor Tower.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ from MBC Group showed a significant decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 41.9K at the end of March and dropping to around 2.7K by the end of June. Weekly active users also saw a decrease from about 93.9K to 42.1K over the quarter. Weekly revenue peaked at around $6.3K at the start of the quarter but gradually decreased to approximately $3.9K by the end of June.

Viu -Stream TV Shows & Serials by Vuclip, Inc. experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at about 7.1K and ending at approximately 2.4K. Active users showed a slight decline from about 38.7K to 32.5K. Revenue remained relatively low, peaking at $25 in early April and dropping to $0 by the end of June.

Netflix maintained a steady performance with weekly downloads hovering around the 3K mark, peaking at 3.7K in mid-June. Active users increased from approximately 106.7K to 122K over the quarter. Active users increased significantly from around 5.6K to 10.3K. Weekly revenue showed a positive trend, starting at $961 and peaking at approximately $1.4K by the end of June.

mtv Al Lubnaniya from MTV Lebanon SAL had a modest performance in weekly downloads, starting at around 2.8K and declining to about 1K by the end of June. Active users decreased from approximately 11.5K to 7.3K over the quarter.
